"GLOBALOCATION: Artnauts Collective Celebrates 20 Years" is an exhibition of works that the collective has exhibited in Bosnia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Guatemala, Hungary, Mexico, Palestine, Peru, Russia, Spain, and throughout the United States. Dr. George Rivera (a Tejano from Glidden, Texas) founded the Artnauts. He is a professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. The mission of the Artnauts is to exhibit work in places of contention throughout the world in order to create a dialogue on issues that the two respective countries have in common, albeit that the international sites experience social issues that represent more extreme conditions, e.g., racism in the United States and ethnic cleansing in Bosnia. Redline (an art space in Denver, Colorado) initially hosted The Twentieth Year Anniversary exhibition of these works in November 2016. Thereafter, the exhibition toured to the J. Willard Marriott Library (2017) at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Finally, the exhibition comes to rest at the University of Texas at Austin to be deposited in the "George Rivera Papers," which are archived in the Nettie Lee Benson's Latin American Collection. * For more information on the Artnauts, see www.artnauts.org
