2019 Connections

When the Constitution of the United States is not be interpreted to match the realities of modern society, then situations, unforeseen by our founding fathers arise. When the 2nd Amendment was written, there was no AR15 weapons in existence, like the ones that massacred students, teachers, coaches and police guards who tried to protect them. The theme of this exhibition was CONNECTIONS and was curated by Dr. George Rivera. The exhibition addressed relationships, such as personal, psychological, community, cultural, social, national and international. The idea was to connect links between individuals and countries. Though this exhibition emphasized the positive aspects of connections, some artists wished to focus on the consequences when connections are broken.
